1. Who We Are

United Notary Connect is operated by Drawlorac Business Solutions, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about users of our Platform at unitednotaryconnect.com (“the Platform”). By using the Platform you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account registration: name, email address, phone number, zip code, and account type (client or notary).
  • Client service requests: service type, document type, number of stamps, preferred date/time, zip code, and any additional details entered in the request form.
  • Notary profiles: business name, commission number, commission states, service area, fee schedule, availability, bio, specialties, years of experience, languages spoken, profile photo URL, and payment methods accepted.
  • Credential documents: commission certificates, E&O insurance certificates, NNA Signing Agent certifications, background check reports, and other verification documents you upload. These files are stored securely and reviewed only for verification purposes.
  • Reviews: star ratings and written comments submitted after appointments.
  • Billing information: payment method details entered during subscription checkout. This information is collected and processed directly by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected by Vercel (our hosting provider) and standard server logs.
  • Session cookies used to keep you logged in during a browsing session.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To match Clients with Notaries based on location, service type, and availability.
  • To send transactional SMS and email messages: appointment confirmations, accept/decline prompts, 24-hour reminders, credential expiration warnings, review requests, and subscription notices.
  • To process notary subscription payments through Stripe.
  • To verify notary credentials and maintain platform integrity.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To generate aggregated, anonymized analytics that help us improve the Platform. We do not sell your personal data.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below.

  • Between matched parties: When a Client submits a service request, we share Client name and phone number with matched Notaries, and Notary name, phone, and email with the Client. This disclosure is the core service of the Platform and is consented to by completing the request form.
  • Service providers: We use the following trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements:
    • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage (credential documents).
    • Twilio — SMS message delivery.
    • SendGrid — email delivery.
    • Stripe — payment processing for notary subscriptions.
    • Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

5. Credential Documents

Documents you upload (commission certificates, insurance certificates, etc.) are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket. They are not publicly accessible and are reviewed only by Platform administrators for credential verification. They are not shared with Clients.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations. Credential documents are retained for the duration of your account. SMS and email delivery logs are retained by Twilio and SendGrid per their own retention policies. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to any legal holds.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies in our database, and access controls on credential storage. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and correction: You may review and update your account information at any time by logging in to your profile settings.
  • Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at support@unitednotaryconnect.com. Deletion requests for notary accounts will result in immediate profile deactivation.
  • Marketing communications: We do not send marketing emails. All messages we send are transactional (related to service requests, appointments, credentials, or subscriptions). You may not opt out of transactional messages while your account is active.
  • SMS: To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any text from us. Note that opting out may prevent receipt of appointment confirmations and important account notices.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The “Effective date” at the top of this page reflects when the current version was last updated.
